Fluorescent inks

loading="lazy"

Fluorescent ink has the same properties as standard offset inks for sheet-fed printing, but with additional luminescent properties. Under normal daylight conditions, the printed products have a luminescent effect.

These fluorescent properties are achieved through the use of special pigments, which, however, demonstrate significantly lower lightfastness levels than conventional pigments. In practice, this means that the fluorescent effect is only temporary in daylight, and printed products should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

Fluorescent inks have no lightfastness properties and are not resistant to alcohol orcoating. If printed products produced with fluorescent ink are to undergo post-processing (foil lamination, dispersion, and UV varnishing), color shifts may occur due to the lack of lightfastness properties. Therefore, test prints are necessary.

Fluorescent inks should be treated like conventional printing inks. No special image editing is required.
