In May 2020, Komori acquired the German company MBO and MBO's subsidiary Herzog + Heymann. MBO is recognized for its folding machines and innovative robotics like CoBo-Stack, while Herzog + Heymann provides advanced machines designed for complex folding of thin paper and is known for requiring specialized technology.
