Dampening rollers

Dampening rollers are designed to distribute water-based wetting evenly over the surface of the printing plates. This allows the printing plates to attract ink on the desired areas and repel ink on the non-printed areas. This is an important process for achieving sharp and precise printing results.

Dampening is an integral part of the offset printing process, where the printing plates are water-receptive and ink-repellent in the areas that are not to be printed. Proper wetting ensures that these areas remain moist and clean, maintaining print quality and preventing unwanted impressions.
